Synopsis: The storyline in “House of the Dragon” establishes the plot of the series by saying, “The only thing that could pull down the house of the dragon was itself,” which occurs 172 years before the events of “Game of Thrones” and during a long-lasting Targaryen dynasty. Viserys I Targaryen, who is not to be mistaken with Daenerys Targaryen’s brother of the same name, reigns over the seven kingdoms with the assistance of Otto Hightower, his right-hand man. When Viserys’ wife and infant son both pass away during delivery, he must choose between his daughter Rhaenyra and his brother Daemon to take the kingdom.
