Synopsis: Ant-Man, also known as Scott Lang, has begun a career as an author of autobiographies. He is eager to spend more time with his daughter Cassie and lay down his Ant-Man costume. He is unaware that Cassie, Hope van Dyne, a.k.a. The Wasp, Janet van Dyne, Hope’s stepmother, and Hank Pym, Hank’s father, have been working on a science project with Cassie. All of them are trapped inside the Quantum Realm, under the oppressive rule of Kang the Conqueror, after one of their experiments goes awry. For instance, Lord Kylar briefly appears as Kang’s goon before vanishing for the duration of the plot. He, along with every other character, appears to be there only to advance the story.
